Varthur road is well-connected to Whitefield and Marathalli and passes through the Marathahalli fly over. It is about 16.7 kilometres away from the City Railway Station and about 50 kilometres from the new Bengaluru International Airport at Devanahalli. The nearest metro station to Varthur is at Hope Farm Junction about 5 kilometres away and further connects Varthur with the metro grid. Varthur is situated at a distance of 8 kilometres from the Railway Station. A development plan for the Peripheral Ring Road Project was also proposed in 2013. R will be a 220 ft. road wherein the 51 kilometres stretch of Phase II will connect the Old Madras Road, Kanakapura Road, Road and Road. The R will also provide easy accessibility from Varthur to International Airport. Owing to its vast potential, a number of infrastructural projects are being planned in Varthur.
